With the growth of the domestic refined oil demand and theimprovement of production technology, the refined oil tend tohomogenize. It is fairly a large impact for the oil companiesincluding the Sinopec Senmei Petroleum Company. In the domesticrefined oil retail market the profits of oil sales is still acceptable,so the refined oil is still playing the main role in the gas station,and the non-oil business is only engaged as a subsidiary. However,with the decreasing of the profits of refined oil in gas stations andthe growing consumer demand, the sales of refined oil clearly doesnot meet the requirements of business development and marketcompetition. For this purpose we must learn from foreign businessphilosophy and the technology to lay the foundation for thedevelopment of new business, and to get the initiative looking forprofit growth. The two company groups Sinopec and PetroChinahave already realized that the development of non-oil business isvery necessary and tend to adjust the operating direction.The emerging business project of the non-oil business, such asconvenience stores, fast-food, car maintenance, advertising,ATM, lottery, courier in the gas stations implies a great marketpotential, in addition to the regular refueling services. The non-oilbusiness which is very convenient for customers, greatly improvedcustomer retention rates, and create a new source of profits for thegas station. The gas station becomes the most dynamic and the mostcharacteristics of the era of social management cells.Sinopec Sammy Petroleum Company take full advantage of theexisting retail network advantage, according to local conditions,depending on the target customer groups, the appropriate choice ofoperating the project, the development of different business strategies.
