Evaluation Of The Efficiency Of The Construction Industry In Northeast China Research Based On DEA Model

There are important status in the national economy of construction, and its largescale activities of investment in fixed assets provides the material basis for thedevelopment of the national economy and the improvement of people’s life, and it is thecompulsory step of fixing assets into the reality of production ability and the use valuein a lot of industries, which directly affects the growth of the national economy andsocial labor employment, directly relates the lives and property of social public of safetyand production, the quality of life. In recent years, the construction efficiency hassignificantly improved by introducing the improved mechanical equipment, adoptingthe advanced construction technology and management methods, but compared withother domestic industry in our country and foreign construction, the constructionefficiency is not high in our country, and there are significant differences of efficiencybetween provincial construction industry in our country, and the more developed areasin construction distributed in the eastern coastal areas. Therefore, how to improve theefficiency of construction industry in our country is a question which is important ofresearch significance.This paper chooses the efficiency of construction industry in northeast China as theresearch object, establishes the evaluation index system, uses DEA method to calculatethe northeast three provinces during the period from2005to2011to evaluateconstruction efficiency. After raising questions, this paper explicits purposes andsignificance of research, analyses and summarizes the existing related research, and onthis basis combines with the characteristics of construction industry in northeast Chinato determine the research methods and research contents of the paper. In the aspect oftheory analysis, first of all this paper defines the concept of the construction efficiencyand the efficiency evaluation, analyses and compares evaluation methods commonlyused for evaluation, and briefly introduces the basic principle of DEA method and therelevant model to determine the implementation steps of the efficiency evaluation. Inthe following evaluation calculation, the evaluation index system is established, and thethree northeast provinces from2005to2011statistics are selected, the northeast areacomprehensive efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency are staticevaluated, analyses and evaluates the dynamic efficiency, reaching the changes ofMalmquist efficiency changing index. Finally, combining with the evaluation resultsand the problems of efficiency of construction industry in northeast China relatedopinion suggestion are put forward, in order to provide certain theoretical supportenhancing the efficiency of construction industry in northeast China.This research problem makes up for the present blank in the research of northeast construction efficiency, which uses DEA method to evaluate the efficiency ofconstruction industry in northeast China, analyzes its existing problems, and exploresthe future of mode in construction efficiency, which is of great theoretical and practicalsignificance in northeast China and even the national construction efficiency.
