Optimization Of Passengers’Baggage Transportation For Domestic Aviation Industry

With the fast development of the market of domestic aviation transportation and thecontinuous growth of the arriving and departing passengers of an airport, the airport needsto provide faster and more efficient services of arrival and departure to the passengers.How to optimize the procedure of the baggage handling system is an important way toimprove the whole operation efficiency for a passenger traffic airport. Baggage handlingsystem is one of the most important systems in a big airport, and it is the importantensurance for the normal operation of the airport. With the prerequisite of fulfilling theservice functions, the stable, reliable and efficient operation of the baggage handlingsystem is very important for the normal running of the airport. This thesis introduces someresearch findings of the procedure of the baggage handling system of a big airport.This thesis tries to analyze from the procedure of the passengers’ baggagetransportation: firstly it briefly analyzes the importance on that how the passengers’baggage transportation improves aviation transportation quality and passengers’satisfaction, presents the studying purpose and meaning of it and the studying content andthinking of it. And then it introduces the foundation and current situation of domestic andforeign procedure optimization theory and introduces the study on airport passengers’baggage transportation. Based on the analysis, and according to the IATA, the relevantstandards of the civil aviation service established by the civil aviation administration, theanalysis of the operation result based on the judging targets of the modern aviationbaggage transportation, combining the study and application of the procedure optimizingtheory, it studies the passengers’ baggage procedure of the terminal for the currentsituation and procedure of the passengers’ baggage transportation of domestic aviation.This paper introduces every subsystems and the function of them of the baggage handlingsystem and concludes the main problems of current airport passengers’ baggage operationby analysis. The problems mainly are problems in links, the low intelligent degree inbaggage handling system, the information not going easily and smoothly and theundeveloped trans-shipment operations. Finally by studying five aspects (link of baggagecheck-in, link of baggage loading, link of baggage arriving at the airport, establishing information sharing platform and introducing the third party’s baggage handling system),this article presents the improvements and optimizing plans to the existing procedure andpresents the hopes to the future civil aviation passengers’ baggage transportation andachieves the optimization to the domestic civil aviation baggage transportation procedure.
