In the rapid integration and development of the global economy, foreign trade hasbeen considered to be the“engine”of economic growth. From the developed countriesand the development of China’s experience, we can seen the full development offoreign trade is an effective way to promote economic development. However, due toChina’s vast territory, a huge environmental differences and development modelbetween the different provinces,led to the relationship of foreign trade and economicgrowth in different regions, each with distinct characteristics, especially the uniquegeographical location but low level of economic development Xinjiang.Xinjiang have the longest land border,the most neighboring countries and externalports in China, is an important passage linking China to Central Asia, South Asia andEastwest Europe, with the wave of reform and opening up, the open border strategyand national counterparts Yuanjiang policy implementation, Xinjiang’s foreign tradefrom small to large and gradually developed. After China’s accession to the WTO in2001, Xinjiang’s foreign trade quickly entered a new stage of development. In2010,the central work conference of Xinjiang, set Kashi, Horgos Port to a special economicdevelopment zone,“the State Council on support the Kashi and Huoerguosi economiczone construction”proposed to positioned Development Zone as the open window ofour west and new economic growth point of Xinjiang’s leapfrog development.In Third2012,National counterpart support Xinjiang Work Conference affirmed theachievements of the unprecedented scale counterparts Yuanjiang, and pointed out thatdue to the low recovery of the world economy, downward pressure China’seconomic,in order to maintain China’s steady economic development, is necessary tochange the mode of economic development, play a huge potential of western regions.This article through the analysis of Xinjiang’s foreign trade and economicdevelopment, analyze the problem and the reason, supplemented by dynamic analysis,feasible way of the development of foreign trade on economic growth in Xinjiang,and in the slow recovery of the world economy, government’s efforts,to promoteXinjiang’s economic, proposing recommends that can be implemented.
