Strengthening the comprehensive grain production capacity building is the majorstrategic measure for the protection of national food security and the promoting ofsocial stability development. The cultivated land, as the most basic input factors ofgrain production, has great significance for strengthening the construction of grainproduction capacity. Urbanization, industrialization has brought huge developmentdividend to the people, also occupied and damaged a large number of farmland, sothat the task of adhere to the “1800000000acres of arable land” is in the danger offalling down.The change of cultivated land area and quality will have influence on thecapacity of comprehensive grain production. Firstly this paper analyses the socialbackground that the current grain production faced, leading to the topic of cultivatedland and comprehensive grain production capacity. After combing through theexisting literatures, discussing the connotation of the cultivated land quality andcomprehensive grain production capacity, summing up the evaluation methods of thegrain production capacity, it points out some relevant theories, and then find outappropriate method for the area and quality land affect the comprehensive grainproduction capacity.In studying the effects of cultivated land, this paper chooses the grain output asthe specific indicators of comprehensive grain production capacity. In this chapter, itfirst comb the relationship of arable land area, grain planting area accounts formultiple cropping index and crop sown area ratio, then through the combination ofstatistical analysis and empirical test, study the effects of cultivated land on foodproduction. The influences of arable land quality on comprehensive productioncapacity of grain show some basic and potential characteristics. This paper firstreviews the natural characteristics of cultivated land quality in China, and analyse themain factors for the quality of cultivated land keeping worse. And then, get theconclutionthe that arable land quality influence comprehensive grain productioncapacity through the following three ways: First of all, the quality of cultivated land isa basic factor of influencing the grain production, and it influences the interannualfluctuation of grain production. Secondly, the quality of cultivated land affect the costof food production, thus affecting the willingness of farmers growing grain. Finally, the quality of cultivated land affect other factors playing effect, thereby affectinggrain production.In the last chapter, this paper put forward the corresponding policyrecommendations on the condition of previous analysis.
