A Study Of The Impact Of Fdi On Economic Development In Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam

Along with the process of global economic integration, the Vietnamese government begins to realize the absorption of foreign investment on the importance of economic development in the country. Currently, foreign direct investment, an important factor to promote the development of the world economy, the FDI capital has become an important source of capital for developing countries.In my thiess, a Western economics, statistics, econometrics basic principles and the two-gap model, the neoclassical theory of economic growth, endogenous economic growth theory and other related theories and methods of analysis, investment research object elements in the process of economic growthexplore the relationship between the various elements of the investment and economic growth, to explore Ho Chi Minh FDI to promote the economic growth of the deep-seated reasons, looking for the potential of economic growth, thus promoting the sustained and stable economic growth in Ho Chi Minh City. The main contents include an estimate of the economic growth model around Ho Chi Minh City inputs, the collection of the data, estimates of the model parameters, inputs estimated of the contribution rate of economic growth, elaborated FDI impact on the status of economic development in Ho Chi Minh City. The results show that FDI in the generation of economic and social development in Ho Chi Minn City to promote the growth of total exports, adjust the industrial structure, the transfer of technology to increase the budget of state revenue, create employment opportunities. At the same time, there are also some problems, such as environmental pollution, crowding-out effect on domestic enterprises, international trade, fraud and tax evasion phenomenon. In response to these problems, this paper proposes a sound laws and regulations on FDI standardized management, improving infrastructure and supporting services conditions, promote the development of supporting industries, according to the economic and social development planning, integrated and coordinated implementation of the industrial policy to attract foreign policy, investment platform, the effect of investment activities, and vigorously promote the quality of labor, the reform of government administrative work to promote policy recommendations in order to achieve sustainable economic development in Ho Chi Minh City.
