Since the reform and opening up in the late1970s, the operating mechanism of China’s financial markets and policy regime have had a huge change. Improve the socialist market economic system, the financial industry to speed up the reform and opening up, China’s commercial banks in an important historical transition, began to become bigger and stronger competition from survival to how to deal with the fierce competition the banking industry is currently facing a critical issue. In the increasingly fierce market competition in the banking sector, the commercial banks must take full advantage of the differences of the financial markets, combined with its own characteristics, strategic planning, market strategy to develop practical in order to find their own core competitiveness in the future market competition. Therefore study the strategic issues of the development of the commercial banks, it has a very important significance.In this paper, the Yongfu rural cooperative banks as the object of study, the use of strategic management theory, analysis of its development strategy. Emerging as a new birth of local commercial banks, relative to the state-owned commercial banks and joint-stock commercial banks, the Yongfu rural cooperative banks significantly in a weak position, unable to expand compete for large corporate customers with large financial institutions, but at the same time has its own unique advantages, basically a sound corporate governance structure established in accordance with the modern enterprise system, information advantage of local SMEs have relatively quick response to market, flexibility, fewer management layers, autonomy, the innovative vigor. Therefore, the Yongfu rural cooperative banks face of fierce market competition, and combine their strengths and weaknesses, weaknesses, credit market for small and medium enterprises, to develop a viable market strategy must take full advantage of the differences in financial markets, in order to establish future market competition itself core competitiveness to survive in the fierce competition and growing.Through the analysis of the strategy of development of rural cooperative banks in Yongfu, its strategic positioning and development strategy in line with their actual, its long-term development, has some reference significance and reference value.
