Quality is the fundamental for an enterprise’s survival, and the continuousimprovement of the quality has always been the pursuit of an enterprise. With therapid development of home appliances market, enterprises face a plethora ofchallenges and competition. More and more enterprises pay attention to productquality optimization facing increasing customer demand and diversification. Optimizethe product quality through the introduction of advanced methods of quality analysisand using effective tools. This will play an important role in improve products’competition and meanwhile provide advices for research on the optimization ofhousehold appliances.Based on the analysis of the research status of household appliances and in-depthstudy of QFD with TRIZ theory, system model for household appliances was built tooptimize the product quality. The model this paper built mainly consists of threephases: Phase one did focus on customer needs analysis. Combined with KJ andFAHP, using combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, morereasonable and scientific method was put forward regarding characteristics offuzziness for customer needs. House of Quality is the second phase of analysis, toconvert the customer demand description to the technical characteristics of theproduct which is understandable language for engineers. Analyze correlationsbetween technical characteristics, identify conflicts and quantization characteristicscorrelation and calculate the overall quality level of household appliances of thecurrent state based on the optimization model. Through the use of TRIZ theory ofconflict resolution, the techniques of conflict resolution was found on the third stage.Quantitative analysis was made after optimization and the overall quality of productswas evaluated once again in order to compare with before, via which the validation ofthe model and optimization process were made. Through research, this paper gainedthe following research results and conclusions.(1) Take customer demands as the driving force for household appliances qualityoptimization, and take ambiguity of the customer demands fully into account. Varietyof channels were used to access to customer needs. Affinity diagram (KJ) was used to sort the demand information, and then a clear customer demand was achieved. Usefuzzy analysis hierarchy process which is based on fuzzy theory to calculate weightsfor customer demand. Improve household appliances quality from the perspective ofthe customer so that the products can really meet the requirement of the market andthe consumer. Via which customer satisfaction can be improved.(2) Optimize household appliances quality from the perspective of conflictresolution. Effectively combined QFD theory and TRIZ theory of conflict resolutionand fully take advantage of both in product quality optimization process to buildmodels. Through QFD theory, effective transformation to customer needs has beendone, and then conflicts in the optimization course were analyzed. Effective solutionsto conflicts were found out with the combination of TRIZ theory and providing of awide range of methodological tools to constitute a system of optimization models, andthen provide a reference for quality optimization for household appliances andsupplements. Conflicts solution which is at the product design stage and qualityoptimization can shorten product development time and reduce production costs andimprove the reliability of the product.(3) Dynamic feedback from household appliance product quality optimizationprocedures and quantitative evaluation of optimized processes has been achieved. Thedegree of importance to customer needs, technical characteristics of important, as wellas the calculation of quantitative analysis of product quality level, more accurate tosay that product quality optimization. Through the optimization of the product beforeand after quantitative evaluation and analysis of the overall quality level of products,this paper came to optimizations and verified the validity of the model. Meanwhileparameter changes due to customer demand and technological developments, themodel can get dynamic feedback and adapted to market developments.(4) Quality optimization model was built to household air conditioner and finallytechnical conflicts are resolved efficiently, with overall quality of air conditionerimproved, inspiration for quality optimization method of the air conditioning provided,and verifying the rationality and feasibility of the model as well.
