With the development of times, in order to provide high quality product and service with lower cost and faster speed, more and more companies start to focus on a new management system-Lean Six-Sigma which comes from the combination of Lean Production and Six-Sigma, to solve issues in cost, speed and quality and so on.Under the background of China and foreign companies start to apply the lean six-sigma management system for trial, we begin the study on the imbalanced capacity of lead acid battery. Through the application of the lean manufacturing and six-sigma management tool, the thesis seeks to explore the effect of applying lean six-sigma in reducing the imbalanced capacity rate of lead acid battery with statistical analysis result of data to make improvement and analysis of project.The thesis states the system of lean six-sigma management theory and the accurate application mode-DMAIC Ⅱ, i.e. definition, measurement, analysis, improvement, control.The thesis analysis the capacity consistency of the lead acid battery of Shuangdeng Group, further confirmed the study target of the project with Pareto, defined the project and set a schedule; made analysis on the measurement system, improved the plate flathess degree which has the biggest impact on the imbalance capacity of the lead acid battery, analysis the repeatability and reproducibility of the plate thickness test system measurement in the paste part, calculated the process capability in the paste part; with SIPOC model made the cause analysis through the application of tools such as cause and effect diagram and FMEA and so on, set out the improvement and measures targeting at the problems arise in the project; during the period of the improvement and control of the project, validated the improvement effect of the double sample test to ensure the effective improvement in order to place a consolidate basis for the further improvement in the later project.Last part of the thesis is the conclusion of the research. Control the capacity consistency of the lead acid battery through the application of lean six-sigma management theory, flexibly used lean six-sigma management tool to analysis and improve the project, through the validation of the result, it shows that the measures do reduce the imbalanced capacity rate of the lead acid battery, as well as the plate thickness defect rate and general defect and so on.
