Investigation And Analysis On Protected Agriculture In Zichang County

Protected agriculture is a mode of industry with high investment、high output and intensive capital,technology, labor. Zichang countyis typical of the traditional agricultural production prefecture-level citieslocated in the loess plateau.Traditional agriculture of Zichang county faced enormous challenges for thesubstantial reduction of arable land recent years with implementation of the western development andproject of forest rehabilitation from slope agriculture.Zichang county city government proposed the strategyof“the development of protected agriculture is the outlet for Zichang county agriculture”. Protectedagriculture of Zichang countyexperiencedthree phases：exploration、rapid expansion、steady development.Protected agriculture of Zichang county made a great progress in economic benefit、development scale andtechnological content. However, there were much inferior position such as imperfectioninfrastructure andthe lack of sense of competition which hinder the development of protected agriculture. The object of thispaper is to make comprehensive analysis and put forward countermeasures accordingly.This paper analyzed the development of protected agricultureof Zichang county with the SWOTanalysis method.Zichang county is facing a rare opportunity to the development of protected agriculture,meanwhile, the disadvantageshamper development of Protected agriculture.This paper discussed and analyzed current situation and existing problems for the development ofprotected agriculture in Zichang county with the method of historical documents and questionnaire. Theprotected agriculture in Zichang county had made a great progress, bring significant benefits and affordablefor farmers；specialized production levels made significant improvement and the advanced and practicaltechnology had been widely promoted. Although the protected agriculture in Zichang county had a rapiddevelopment, the level of quality was generally low. There are many problems in the development ofprotected agriculture such as poor level of science and technology, shortage of funds, unsoundnessagricultural technology service system and so on.This paper proposed countermeasures to Promote development of Protected agriculture inZichangcounty according to problems：Strengthen government support and The establishment of multi-channelfunding mechanism；Strengthen technical training and Improve the level of cultivation and management；Strengthen the service system and improve the quality of scientific and technical talent team and so on.
