Whether multinationalenterprises move into China or enterprises which site in China’s eastern coastal areasmove to the central and western inland areas, these phenomena are not only conduciveto the upgrading of China’s industrial structure, but also conducive to domesticregional economic development. Under this background, this article attempts toanswer the following questions: Why do enterprises relocate? What is the relocatedenterprises’ effect on enterprise clusters? How to undertake enterprise relocation? Andhow to promote enterprise clusters development? Firstly, this article reviews therelevant theoretical basis, defines the concept of enterprise relocation and enterprisecluster from an ecological point of view; Furthermore, based on the related ecologyresearch results about biological invasion and its impact on bio-communities, thisarticle analyzes the dynamic mechanism of enterprise relocation, and exploresenterprises relocation’s effect on enterprise cluster through combining theoreticalanalysis and mathematical model; Then, based on the mechanism analysis, this articleuses the enterprise cluster of domestic instrument manufacturing as the researchsample, empirical analyzes the effect of foreign-invested enterprises on domesticinstrument manufacturing enterprise cluster; Finally, this paper’s research results areconcluded, this article puts forward a number of policy recommendations forpromoting the healthy development of enterprise cluster. The results show that:(1) The relocated enterprises’ own characteristics is theinner base of enterprise relocation, the environment characteristics is the externalconditions of enterprises relocation, external factors such as governmentadministrative intervention accelerate the migration process;(2) The effect of relocated enterprises on enterprise cluster will achieve through the interaction withlocal enterprises in the enterprise cluster, and the type and the coefficients of theinteraction between relocated enterprises and local enterprises have an importanteffect on the evolution of enterprise cluster.
