Low-Carbon Economy Development Study Of Nanning

Low-carbon economy is a introspection of the "high-carbon economy" development model since the Industrial Revolution, it is a necessary development model in response to climate warming, environmental disasters, it is the most effective way for the sustainable development of society, it is also an most important strategic choice to Chinese central and western regional economic development. As the main place of the power of regional development and regional consumption, city is the significant emission reduction unit, as well as the key place to promote low-carbon development. This thesis build a low-carbon economy evaluation index system of Nanning to developed a path for low-carbon economic development of Nanning and proposed some countermeasures, based on the thoughts that economic development, technology development, social development and environmental development is the premise, the key, the basis and the purpose of the low-carbon development system of city.Five parts are included in this text, first of all, is explains the research background, the purpose, the meaning, the methods, and relatively studies at home and abroad on this research. Then it described the conception, the misreading and the theory of low-carbon economy theory, including the basic theory of low carbon economy, and "The tunnel effect" which made it possible for the developing country develop low carbon economy. The third part of this test developed an evaluation index system based on the mentioned theory and the method of building a low carbon city in developing country, which contains four subsystems, namely economy development, technology development, social development and environmental development subsystems. The result shows that the development of low-carbon economy of Nanning City is in an upward trend as a whole, but the city did not reached the level of low-carbon economic development, which attributes to energy inefficiency, the lack of low-carbon industry, small government investment in research and development of science and technology and the conservative ideas of consumers attitudes to the low-carbon economy. The fourth part described the low-carbon development aim, path and countermeasures of Nanning, this paper pointed out that the city could expand investment in research and development of low-carbon industry, improve the energy efficiency technology, enhance the international cooperation, promote the three-party cooperation of government, enterprise and people, control the pollution, by means of these paths, Nanning could improve the level of low carbon development by importing of foreign talents of energy-saving technology, upgrading carbon sink, expanding investment to low-carbon industry and guiding the resident to enjoy low-carbon consumption. The five parts shows the conclusions, the innovation points and the shorts of this article.
