The corporate social responsibility movement in the foreign communityhas been widely recognized, it has become the focus of the study of theoryand business circles. With the Chinese enterprises to integrate into the globalcompetition combined to speed up the process as well as the acceleration ofindustrial capital and financial capital, the social responsibility of Chineseenterprises are facing increasingly apparent. Sanlu milk powder incident,repeated exposure entrepreneurs rent-seeking, and energy saving, credit crisis,financial crisis, a crucial issue, and are caused by people thinking ofcorporate social responsibility, also show our corporate social responsibilitydeficiencies.Iron and steel enterprises as an important part of our national economy,consciously fulfill their social responsibility is very important. For Chineseenterprises is to bear the social responsibility of this problem there is a lot ofcontroversy, most scholars believe that the commitment to socialresponsibility to benefit the enterprises to obtain better financial performance,however, there are some scholars believe that fulfill social responsibility willbring negative impact to reduce its financial performance.Little research on China’s iron and steel enterprises social responsibilityand corporate financial performance, In this context, we draw on the theoryand methods of evaluation of corporate social responsibility at home andabroad, China’s listed steel companies for select samples, to collect samplesof corporate the quantitative analysis of the direct and indirect socialresponsibility, corporate social responsibility performance of the selectedsample enterprises, draw about the steel corporate social responsibility andfinancial performance relationship, thus promoting the iron and steelenterprises to fulfill their social responsibility initiative and voluntary.
