With the improvement of the level of national economies, and the advancement ofindustrialization and urbanization process, the energy consumption has been increasedyear by year, the contradiction of energy supply and energy demand become serious.Energy issues have become the major problem of the world. Our government puts a cleartarget of “energy saving and emission reduction” in “12th Five-Year Plan”. How toimprove energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption and improve the ecologicalenvironment has become a problem concerned by the whole society. In domestic and foreign research, scholars study the energy intensity on the wholeand ignore the difference factors of each province. And there is only two papers whichintroduce the space factors into the research, but that’s not comprehensive and in-depthenough. China is a country with vast territory, each province has different economic, environmental and so on, so it is necessary to introduce space factors in the research. Soit’s essential to study energy intensity and the influential factors in china based on thespatial econometric model.First of all, we describe analysis of the china’s energy consumption, energyconsumption structure and energy intensity from total and regional specifically. Then, analysis the influencing factors of china’s energy intensity, and make spatial correlationtest. Based on spatial correlation of test results, we introduce the space factors into thestudy of energy intensity to build spatial econometric model and come to the conclusionthat the energy intensity is very relevant with the industrial added value, energyconsumption structure, FDI, foreign dependence, fiscal spending. Finally, based on theempirical results,we put forward some policy Suggestions to provide reference forpractice.
