Research On Complementarity And Potential Of China And Mongolia Trade

In the paper, based on the current situation of Chinese-Mongolian trade and analysis of the bilateral trade data from2002to2011, the difference between the commodities provided by China and Mongolia is quantified, which is calculated with formula of Revealed Comparative Advantages Index, Trade Complementarity Index and Trade Combination Degree. Therefore, the commodities categories with high complementarity are found out through analyzing as well as the commodities with high potential in bilateral trade cooperation.Based on the difference, complementarity and potential of commodities from China and Mongolia, the paper comes to the conclusion that the Chinese-Mongolian trade will be focus on enhancing the trade of present complement commodities and strengthening cooperation on the trade of promising commodities. As one of the important platform of the bilateral trade, Inner Mongolia has incomparable convenience and plays a significant role in the trade. With great effort on developing complementary and promising commodities, the autonomous region should give its own advantage to the full play and accelerate the sound and coordinated development of regional economy.
