Spare parts inventorymanagement is an old topic, and it largely affect the effectiveness of the operation. Andmetro spare part inventory management is not only connected with the costs problembut also the operation theme. What`s more, it relates to the metro`s safety and servicelevel and quality.With the developments of our infrastructure, the more and more cities are equippedwith metro. And the safety operation of the metro has largely affected our trafficconditions and the development of our society and economy. But our inventorymanagement level of metro maintenance spare parts is low due to the late developmentof our metro industry and particularity of itself. The inventory of metro maintenancespare parts has largely affected the effectiveness of metro operation and it`smanagement level has constrained the development of the operation enterprise.Metro spare part inventory management mainly focuses on two subjects: inventorycost and the service level. This paper aims at the maintenance spare parts inventorymanagement under the certain constrain of the service level, it is unfolded through theaspect of classification and the prediction of consumption and the inventory strategyabout spare parts. Different strategies are applied to distinct classes, and the Flexsimsimulation method is used in the optimization process. In the end, the managementmethods provided in the paper are proved effectively in the case.The method adopted in this paper has a certain significance and reference value togeneral metro spare part inventory management problem, and can be used in actualoperation to provide decision support. |
