A Research On The Low-carbon Development Of Industry In Guangdong Province

Since the concept of low-carbon economy was brought forward, all the countries across theworld realized the importance of the development of low-carbon economy. Many domesticscholars study the development of low-carbon economy in China, and the effects of low-carbondevelopment in industries is agreed by most scholars. This paper discusses the importantdomains and realization ways of industries low-carbon in GuangDong province.At first, this paper uses the analysis method of conversion share, decomposed the carbonemission intensity of economy in GuangDong province,and analyze the contribution of theindustrial structure and technology to the carbon emission intensity. Results show that, theimportant domains of low-carbon development in GuangDong province is to continue tooptimize the industries structure adjustment and increase the investment of science andtechnology, especially, emphasis the low-carbon development of heavy industries. Then, thispaper uses the decoupling analysis framework based on logic causality to analyze the effects ofthe energy saving situation, the ability of creating value, development situation of the industry onthe carbon emission intensity of the industry. Results shows that it is key important to improvethe energy saving level of the heavy industies, at the same time, improve the ability of creatingvalue and development efficiency of the heavy industries.At last, this paper puts forward several suggestions to promote the low-carbon economydevelopment of GuangDong province, and industry structure adjustment, technologydevelopment level, energy conservation of industry, value creation of industry and greeneconomy development idea are included.
