Since twenty-first Century, China’s postal industry has achieved a rapiddevelopment, increase the huge volume of postal business, business type is more rich andperfect, and a great breakthrough has been made in the aspect of hardware facilities, thepostal network construction and information construction, to provide important help tothe life and work of the economic development of our country and people. However, withthe continuous development of the postal industry and customers personalized,diversified demand increase, the more single marketing mode has been unable to meetthe needs of postal enterprise development. At the same time, the traditional marketingmodel shows the market segmentation is not clear, the target customer group is not clearenough and the expenses for advertising and publicity of the shortcomings, so databasemarketing has become an inevitable choice for the development of the postal industry.Tangshan City post with the rapid development of the whole industry the opportunity,continue to adjust and perfect, actively promote the construction of postal servicedatabase marketing, and the significant progress made in postal service, but the overalllevel of development, because of the Tangshan City postal development of databasemarketing for a short time, there are still many problems, need to later in the gradualperfection and solution.This paper is divided into five parts, the main contents of this study: the first chapteris the introduction, introduces the research background, the significance of study,research methods and the research status at home and abroad; the second chapter is thebasic theory of database marketing exposition. This chapter introduces the concept ofdatabase marketing, analyzes the basic process of database marketing and important role,and pointed out the non-technical factors affecting implementation of database marketing,in addition to the three major advantages of postal development of database marketing isalso discussed; the third chapter further analyzes the current development of TangshanCity post database marketing, which combined Tangshan postal development in recentyears of data, this paper expounds the basic situation of Tangshan City post. At the same time, introduced the Tangshan City postal development of database marketing two majorsupport system and the two main business products and its processing process; the fourthchapter mainly elaborates two parts, the first part is to the Tangshan City postal servicedatabase marketing strategy is introduced, including a total of five aspects of productstrategy, service strategy, pricing strategy, channel strategy and promotion strategy of.The second part analyzes the main problems existing in the database of Tangshan CityPostal Marketing process. Present situation and problems of Tangshan City post databasemarketing, the fifth chapter mainly elaborates the Tangshan City postal service databasemarketing five promotion strategy. Were covered by the personnel training, databaseconstruction investment, big customer development and management, the enterpriseinternal management and database marketing promotion etc.
