Research On The Risk Analysis And Decision Making Theory For Power Enterprise Construction Project Investment

In today’s society, electric power has become one of the most important and the most widely used strategic energy. The process of the power from generation to the end user involves in generation, transmission, distribution and many other stages, in which the power generation is the source of this process. So the power generation enterprises play an important role in the power market, and the investment of these enterprises generally have three main characteristics, including huge amount, long payback period and complex environment.With increasingly fierce market competition and continuously rising prices of raw materials for power production, including coal, in Chinese electricity industry during the market-orientated electricity system reform, power generation enterprises acquire less and less profit, facing up with increasing pressure of competition for survival. Under the condition, it is necessary to research the investment risk assessment, analyze risk influencing factors, give reasonable investment decision-making recommendations, and promote investment decision-making levels and investment efficiency, for infrastructure projects within power generation enterprises. Based on concluding the existed domestic and foreign researches on investment risk evaluation combining with current development situation of Chinese power generation enterprises, this article intends to focus on investment risk evaluation for infrastructure projects of power generation enterprises, analyze investment risk influencing factors, and provide practical suggestions of investment decision-making decisions for the enterprises.The paper introduces the research background, significance and the relevant basic theories (of investment risk for infrastructure projects of power generation enterprises) firstly. Then, the research analyzes and researches risk decision-making problems of the field, focusing on the evaluation of investment risk from the perspective of risk factor identification, risk assessment, risk prediction and risk aversion, main content of which includes selection of the evaluation indicators, establishment of evaluation system, choice of evaluation model and application of the evaluation results.
