Through field survey and literature analysis, the development of second homewithin the suburb ReBAM can be divided into three stages: the Dianchi area which has acharacter that centralizes to compete for scarce resources; The second home in the Jiandianarea have a character that its leisure function may be changed in the course of urbanization;The Yangzong Lake, Hotspring in Anging and Fuming town also have second home, thedifferent tourism resources in these area have decided the character of the second home inthere are different, they have a different market; The second home in Taiping andSongming towns has a different character that the policies has a decisive role for itsdevelopment.There are some factors that affect the development of the second home in KunmingReBAM. From the macro side, the necessary condition of development of the second homeis economic development, the pull is tourism mode has changed, the invisible driving forceis love soil plot that is in every Chinese mind. From the micro side, a area which hasexcellent resources, acceptable price, convenient traffic and complete living facilities is thebest area to develop the second homes.At last, the second home has two different development trends in suburbs and outersuburbs. The timeshare will be a important goods in future, for the forms of the secondhome now has some negative impacts that including high price and vacancy rate, wastingland resources, raising the cost of living, so the timeshare has more advantages andprospects than villa.
