Design And Implementation Of OPC Client In Semi-Physical Simulation System

With the development of simulation technology, semi-physical simulation system is getting widely used because of ascendant features. The importance of I/O interface conversion system in the semi-physical simulation system has developed quickly. Any software has to develop the corresponding driver for various kinds of hardware in the traditional I/O interface conversion system. OPC technology on the basis of Microsoft COM/DCOM changed this situation. Under the OPC standard, the driver should not be changed due to different hardware and a series of hardware component based on OPC standard is offered. The system adapting to the OPC not only avoids the repetition of development, but also improves the systemic open and mutual operation. At the same time, the software and hardware is chosen by consumers in broader scale field.OPC inner mechanism based on COM/DCOM and the interaction of Client/Server system components are analyzed in the paper. At the same time OPC Client application scheme is designed and implemented, combined with the requirement of this system.Comparing the disadvantages and advantages of three OPC Client methods, we design the program of OPC Client and confirm the development process in the semi-physical simulation system.The processes include three parts in the paper:1. Research the server’s structure and capability in the semi-physical simulation system;2. Design the OPC Client according with the OPC and test the function of this client;3. Design the test program of OPC server and test the server’s capability of the whole semi-physical simulation system and compatibility between the client and the server. In order to have broad currency, the OPC Client tests the function not only in this system but also in other Servers. According to the testing results, the system runs robustly, it has a powerful adaptability and a flexible configuration. So it is easy to satisfy the user’s demands.
