With the development of technology in computer and Internet, especially the combination of control technology with network communication technology, the demands of industrial control system for transmitting and sharing information within large scale become more and more urgent. The traditional industrial control software adapts the original C/S (Client/Server) mode. Software vendors have to develop the corresponding driver for various kinds of hardware. Moreover it is bad for the opening, stability, reusability and maintainability of the system which has too many drivers. The new developing technology OPC, on the basis of Microsoft COM/DCOM, provides new standards in terms of the data communication of the industrial control (Data Collection), the integration of the heterogeneous system and the construction of the multi-layer software system. The system adapting the OPC has the special characteristics, such as high-speed data communication, high dependability and high reusability.This thesis discusses the data monitoring and control system based on OPC technology according to the situation of data communication in the semi-physical simulation system. It takes many methods, such as OPC technology, API technology, Microsoft Database technology (ADODB and ADOX) and so on, to design and realize the data monitoring and control system. The thesis presents OPC summary, OPC foundational principle and automation interface specification in brief, and analyzes the system model in details including the system structure, the system principle and the realization of this system. The function of the system is to monitor the communication between GSE simulation software and distributed control system in the semi-physical simulation system, display the realtime data changes of tagnames, monitor more directly the situation of data communication by the trend graph to display realtime and historical curves, and config the parameters of the simulation system. At last the user can effectively control and manage data in the semi-physical simulation system. These functions are realized by three software modules of realtime monitoring and control, the trend graph and configuration of the system parameters. These three modules include realtime data monitoring and control, user-defined components, history data saving, the curve displaying and the database operating and so on. This thesis describes the design and realization of the system in details and tests it.After some essential tests, it proves that the system can run smoothly, and it has a powerful adaptability and a flexible configuration. In conclusion, it realizes users’demands.
