Indoor positioning means in the indoor environment, through the use of wireless communications, base station location, inertial positioning technology integrated to form a variety of indoor location positioning system, to achieve a location of people or object in the interior space. In recent years, with the development of020industries and the spread of mobile terminals, people’s need for location services gradually becomes from the outside to the inside. How to quickly and accurately determine the location of the user in the room has become a research hotspot currently.This thesis, by means of low-power Bluetooth technology platform, researches the two types of typical location fingerprint algorithm and improves its problem in accuracy and performance of position. Thanks to the low power consumption, low cost, ease of deployment and other characteristics Bluetooth4.0(supports low-power Bluetooth technology) has, this thesis selects Bluetooth4.0as the way of positioning. Besides, fingerprint position method was chosen because this method has advantage of simple, low cost, easy to establish the correct mathematical model and put into practical application effectively and quickly. The main work of this thesis is:First, I analyze the Bluetooth signal distribution in the room and the factors which influence Bluetooth RSSI distribution, including the distance factor, sight factors, human factors and the time factor. Then, according to the analysis of the Bluetooth signal strength before, I find that there are some problems on the accuracy and performance if two types of representative fingerprint algorithm are directly put into practical. Therefore, according to these problems I improved them to make them adapt to the need of the positioning system based on low-power Bluetooth and location fingerprint technology.Finally, by design and implementation of student check in system based on low-power Bluetooth technology, this paper take advantage of the improved algorithm to achieve the position of the need of this system to show the application of improved algorithm in the actual scene and prepare this improved algorithm for its future using.
