Server is a high-performance computer on network environment, it listens for client requests for service and to provide appropriate services. Server with powerful computing, storage, I/O throughput. Meanwhile, the server has high scalability, high reliability, high availability, ease of use and manageability.Currently appearing server products designed and implemented a major problem, namely the computing, storage, I/O performance imbalance, especially traditional mechanical hard drives and other storage technologies to upgrade more slowly, which restricts the practical application of performance improvements. Second, software, hardware, in co-ordination, there is a lack of coordination, software, hardware resources are not being fully utilized, resulting in computing, storage, I/O resource waste.In this paper,2U rack server products were analyzed, mainly from four aspects of work:First, start with the system architecture, motherboard, backplane, riser, SAS cards, Raid cards, power, structural, thermal design and other aspects of analysis, elaborated server product design implementation process.Second, summed up a set of server product performance evaluation tool methods, and performance evaluation of existing products, find product performance areas for improvement.Third, through new platforms and component technologies for study and research, the various subsystems of the server product has been optimized and improved design and implementation of a new generation of server products.Fourth, the method of performance evaluation tool for the previous generation and the new generation of products for comparative evaluation to verify the effect of design optimization, and summed to form an improved method optimized server design, system design capabilities continue to improve.Finally, the server system architecture, system design, component technology, testing and evaluation were summarized four major content of the entire project were carried out summary and outlook. |
