Design And Implement Of Survey Layout Definer Oriented Survey Automatic Identification System

Layout processing is one of the computer application problems that relates to multipleknowledge domain. Currently, although the mainly exist survey includes two kinds ofpaper survey and web surveys, but paper survey is widely used because of the lowerrequirements of the survey respondents. But paper survey’s results need manual input andstatistical. However, using computer to implement automatic acquiring paper survey image,identifying answer and statistical and analysis results is more beneficial work.This paper has its background of the project "Techniques Research and SystemBuilding of automated information acquisition and statistical analysis on image", mainlyresearch the key technologies in the survey information processing, including paper surveygraphically, survey image pre-processing, definition of survey layout describes model andsurvey layout definer, aim to complete layout correcting and automatic defining workbefore identifying. For paper document graphically problem, this paper uses TWAINprotocol control scanner continuously scan paper survey and acquire images; Proposedbased on the credibility of the image signal filtering algorithm. By classification thecredibility levels of the various signals to screening more appropriate signal, so as toachieve a fast and efficient way to filter out noise. Then, binarizing and skew detectingsurvey image via OTSU method and Hough transform. Proposed a layout descriptionmodel based on prior knowledge and stored in XML file, aim to give a general surveyformat description. It can provided basic conditions for the subsequent identification andstatistical work. The system is able to efficiently and accurately locate the answer area viathe information of the layout description file. Implement a mixed mode working layoutdefiner to completing the survey layout description file definition.Testing and analysis of algorithms and systems through survey images, the proposedalgorithm can effectively solve the various aspects of the key issues. Design andimplement a layout definer system, the system can effectively complete the survey imagecontinuous acquisition, image pre-processing and create survey layout description file, only a few defining work need manual correct. The system creates layout description filecan effectively provide accurate answers location and reliable basis for subsequent work.
