The impulse noise commonly exists in various types of wireless communicationsystem which has been known as the most destructive interference type of noise. In orderto realize noise elimination and echo cancellation of a communication system, etc, so it isnecessary to achieve a flexible, practical and specific impulse noise generation system, thesystem is required to generate the background noise which meets the actual impulse noisecharacteristics. The development of information technology in today’s society is very fast, the noisegenerator has been widely used in various fields. Gaussian noise model is simple and easyto implement. People often choose noise source which obeys the gauss distribution as thesource of signal analysis and experiments. But in the actual and complex environment, noise often do not obey the Gaussian distribution with a pulse characteristics, so justresearch on pulse characteristics of the Gaussian distribution can not meet the actual needof theoretical research. In order to improve the function, it needs to seek design method ofnon-Gaussian noise generator. Alpha stable distribution, Cauchy distribution and Gaussianmixture distribution are typical of non-Gaussian distribution, which show a significantpeak pulse and the decay rate of the probability density function is slower than theGaussian distribution, which shows the heavy tail nature. Some characteristics of the noiseare reflected in real life, so the research has a certainly significance. On the other hand, notonly the accuracy of the parameters of the analog circuitry and digital circuitry noisegenerator which is commonly used in daily life is low, but also the volume, price andpower is not suitable for widespread. Since embedded technology is applied to thedevelopment of noise generator, it becomes easy to test system which is conducive toprogram control, good performance and higher performance-price ratio. In manyembedded processors, DSP is a leader in the field of signal processing, in terms ofcomputing power and running faster have a distinct advantage, so in this article DSP isselected to do hardware support, the system has a broad prospect for development. So far, foreign countries have studied pulse generation technology and achievedcertain result, but domestic in this field is still in the exploratory stage. Therefore, thispaper designs a flexible, modular and easy programmable impulse noise generator. Theresearch and design of the system contain the hardware and software. The task of softwarepart is to analyze the variety of pulse noise distribution, and then by means of MATLABsimulation and CCS software simulation to verify the feasibility of the algorithm, bychanging the parameters to observe the nature of the noise signal. The task of hardwarepart is to use advantage of DSP to design a fast and easy impulse noise generator. DSPcircuit and DA converter is designed, the digital signal is converted to the analog signal tocomplete the study of the pulse noise generator.
