Research On Users’ Characteristics Of Microblog Based On Network Analysis

With the further of internet technology and the applications, microblog, forum and other social network develops rapidly, and gradully formed a vital role in information spreading platforms. Microblog is a refletion of life, the research of microblog network helps us futher understand users’social relationship, interests in reality and so on.Sina microblog is the biggest domestic social network, who owns0.54billion users. In order to know the position of users in information communication and microblog network’s characteristic better, sina microblog is chosed us study object and research is conducted on it by means of complex networks theory and social network analysis. The result of this paper is reference in theory and practice for using scale-free theory and practice for using scalefree theory and fitness theory to research on information spreading among microblog network.Meanwhile, the analysis based on centrality helps us identity importance agree of users in information communication more conveniently, which has great value in theory and practice.The paper mainly contains the following work:1) Explain the background, development situation and research significance of microblog network. Introduce basic prameters of complex network, such as degree distribution、average path length、clustering coefficient; Introduce three network models of complex network, namely the small world model, scale-free model, fitness model. Introduce basic principles of social network analysis mainly about centrality.2) By using the open platform of Sina microblog, users’ information is collected and a microblog network by friendship is constructed. By analyzing the data, it is revealed that microblog network has relatively small average path length and relatively high clustering coefficient, which confirms the small world characteristic of microblog network. Besides, it is found that the nodes’degree distribution in microblog network obeys power-low distribution, which means microblog network has scale-free characteristics. By analyzing how the degree of different node changes with time, it is found that there exists fitness characteristic in microblog network.3) By social network analyzing method, the function and importance of users in Sina microblog network is researched during information spreading. Based on the centrality analysis of social network analysis method, by computing different joints’ degree centrality, closeness centrality, betweenness centrality, the significance of users’positions is analyzed from different points, thus the function of different users during information spreading in network can be confirmed.
