As long as the development of mobile equipment in recent age, the cinemaapplication which connects the mobile equipment becomes more and more popular.For instance, the application of image character recognition, face recognition. Thisessay concerns with the face recognition which based on the computer visiontechnology and how to use it for android platform.This system utilizes the method of Open Source Computer Vision Library uses itsplatform to organize the application development. The system consists two parts:Facial expression database training and Facial expression recognition. In the trainingprocess, a variety of “characterized faces” are collected. After collecting varieties offeature weights, we will save them into the facial database. The collected facialexpressions will be processed by application database for gray processing and sizenormalization to realize face tracking. In the end, we will apply Optical flowalgorithm to compare the characteristics of two frame images. Then comparing themwith the facial expression database to summarize the facial parameter. This essay willdescribe the requirement analysis of the system, the implementation of each modulealgorithm and the systematic combination and test validation. Finally, we willsummarize the validation results and make conclusions.The facial recognition could give the recent facial category, run smoothly in the givensoftware as well as hardware environment and be used as a interface in the practicalprogram.
