Physical optics (PO), Real-coded genetic algorithm (RGA) and conjugated fieldmatching (CFM) are used to complete the analysis and synthesis process of thehourglass reflector antenna.Firstly, the radiation pattern of different offset height H, ratio of the focal lengthand diameter F/D and edge taper ET of the antenna for on-focus feed are discussed. Andsome far-field patterns of the antenna are presented for both the lateral (X F、Y F)andaxial (Z F)feed defocusings. Then, the expansion coefficients of the Bernstein polynomial are optimized toachieve the beam shaping in the elevation plane of the antenna with single feed by usingthe method of RGA.Lastly, the incentive coefficients of the feeds are optimized to achieve the beamshaping and scanning in the horizontal plane of the antenna with a7-element circulararray feed by using RGA and CFM. Then the beam shaping result of a pencil beam andthe result without scanning are compared to summarize the merits of both methods. |
