LAMOST observestens of thousands of celestial bodies per night, so the data is very large. After processing, the data will be valid and helpful. But it is stored in the database in excel, tedious and difficult to understand. How to effectively display these data to help researchers understand and discover underlying rules is a serious problem. This paper propose Matlab solve LAMOST spectral data visualization problems by powerful matrix calculation ability and image processing capabilities.Data visualization software "universal data visualization system" which is achieved in this paper, not only meet LAMOST spectral data visualization displaying, but also achieve the visual analysis of general data, can be used in scientific research, teaching experiments, data comparison etc many areas. As it is universe for different users, higher requirement will be needed in interaction and usability of man-machine interface.Matlab has powerful scientific computing and precise graphics capabilities, but less able to develop interface, It cannot generate simple interface, easy operation, portable application program, so chose Visual Studio to develop applications program interface. So it comes visual studio and Matlab hybrid programming problem. This paper analyzes the pros and cons of Visual Studio and Matlab hybrid programming various methods, and ultimately chose the functional Matlab engine as hybrid programming approach.The main contents of this paper have three parts:(1) Adopting Matlab simulation spectral data displaying in one-dimensional, two-dimensional, three-dimensional space, by algorithm, the spectral data express as specific image, make spectral data vivid.(2) Design and implement common data visualization system, software development using Visual Studio and Matlab. Visual Studio can realize interactive interface design, and select the data file has been processed or recorded by manual, set different graph types and titles,coordinate range, background, color, and other display parameters as needed, and finally call Matlab engine will draw the data into the corresponding graphics.(3) Research and implementation packaged publishing of application program and design of help files, Make general data visualization system easier to transplant and use, reduce the user’s difficulty.
