In recent years the development of information at the same time, the number of database users increase, while the database as the data processing center and carrier, will directly bear the performance problem, a database field performance problems are more and more people pay attention to.The State Administration of Taxation formally put forward "in2009, the national tax system tax collection technology work meeting work information tube tax" after the rapid growth of data, our national tax system. In order to make full use of the large number of business data, realize information tube tax by data analysis, by the end of2010, the State Administration of Taxation began bidding decision management the three period, the "big focus" as the core, the basic idea to focus on strengthening the utilization of data. Through the platform of tax administration and the provincial level two application environment, realize the centralized and use data, gradually took over all the data of the tax system analysis using work. With the centralized data will become more and more huge, massive data warehouse has reached T level, must be considered as its performance. It is in order to solve this problem, this paper improve data warehouse performance point of view, for the design and optimization of the two aspects of the research.Firstly, the paper introduces the research status; secondly, the ORACLE database architecture is described; and then from the concept, the ORACLE performance index, and optimization of several described. In addition to the tax data warehouse, proposed hierarchical design method, and according to the design optimization and implementation; finally the application in practical work, the provincial taxation data warehouse optimization practice, especially to locate performance problems are discussed and studied, and discussed according to the problems encountered in practice and common method. From the SQL optimization, based on three aspects to optimize the data returned is described, based on the optimization of data storage based on. Performance tuning is a process of long and repetitive, when people are more dependent on information and data analysis and more, to information timeliness, validity will pay more and more attention.All the performance optimization of data warehouse technology, through a combination of theory and practice, have a deeper understanding of the optimization principles and methods of Oracle database. The tax data warehouse based on the full understanding of customer needs, have been tested and on-line success in the Local Taxation Bureau of Shandong province. In practical use, make full use of various optimization methods and skills of articles mentioned above, from the perspective of practice proved that the performance of the data warehouse system fully meets the requirements of performance requirements and Technology Bureau of Shandong Province, the user.
