Special equipment refers important metal equipments which relates to life safety and has greater risk, such as boilers, pressure vessels, pressure piping, elevators, cranes, passenger ropeways and large amusement facilities. Tangshan monitor department is responsible for the safety monitoring of special equipments’ using and producing units as well as inspection and testing institutions, so that the productions are able to reach the standard which is related to people’s lives.Tangshan special equipment detection should be done regularly. It is necessary to develop a special equipment inspection management system because the traditional detection way and work efficiency cannot reach the current needs with the rapid development of information technology. Object-oriented is utilized to build software architecture platform of Tangshan special equipment inspection management system which shares data and business as well as improving response speed. The island of information problem may be solved and the system achieves automation of business process and makes the management more rational. A standard and open operating architecture is gradually established.Analysis and design of Tangshan special equipment inspection management system are based on the idea of software engineering, and this paper describes the need analysis, system design and the specific implementation process of special equipment inspection management system. Firstly, the system functional requirements, function use-case and features to be implemented as well as the corresponding way is described by the UML use-case method. Then the system uses the functional and technical architecture diagram depicts the overall system design and it designs a database involved. Finally, according to the requirements analysis and the content of system design, the whole development work of this system is implemented with the help of some related technologies.The system uses B/S architecture. J2EE technology Struts framework, Hibernate framework and the Spring framework for developing. Business acceptance, task allocation, test preparation, report management, receipt management, dispatch management, seal management, conference management and application management is accomplished. Inspection management includes business acceptance, task allocation, management reporting and test preparation which mainly related to declare paper and device’s management as well as receipt management. Declaration management covers functions of declaration paper’s adding, modifying, querying and deleting. Administration management includes receipt management, dispatch management, seal management and conference management and the functions mentioned above are all transfer processing whose processes are much the same. Application management includes pot-testing center process management, capacity control center process management, elevator center process management and process management of lifting center. Approval process management is divided into to-do management processes, finished processing and does process management.The development and implementation of the system basicly meets the needs of Tangshan special equipment inspection, which accomplishes efficient processing of special equipment inspection business, making a large number of complex processings relatively simple, reducing the workload of staffs, improving work efficiency, providing important reference data for the further work and offering basis for leadership to plan next step of development.
