With the development of technology, computer virtualization technology is the field of medicine plays an important role, in which virtual surgery (also known as surgical simulation) are increasingly being recognized by the medical profession, virtual surgery medical informatics has become a very important applications branch. Currently existing virtual surgical field research, which focuses on segmentation of medical images,3D reconstruction, the establishment of physical models. As a key part of the mesh generation technology to build a virtual simulation model to generate grid quality directly affect the accuracy of numerical calculations.Such as AFT(Advancing Front Technique), Delaunay, Octree method and other automatical mesh generation algorithms will inevitably produce inferior units, which greatly affect the accuracy of numerical computation. As the three-dimensional tetrahedral mesh generation process more prone unit distortion, therefore, optimization of these units is of great importance.This article describes the existing popular mesh optimization methods, and analyzeds the causes of sliver element. Through the mesh quality metric error function is deduced as a function of the objective function optimization based smoothing algorithm. The combination of several methods were optimized, the implementation steps are given. Finally, the experiment was implemented by multi-threading accelerating. Experimental results show that:the use of multi-threading accelerated way, when a large number of vertices, has obvious advantages.
