At present, stroke has been one of the primary three diseases threating to human health along with coronary heart disease and cancer in the world, and the number of stroke patients increased year by year. Because of the restriction of family economic ability, the majority of stroke patients conduct a preliminary rehabilitation in the hospital, and then they will return home and continue the next rehabilitation at home. Most stroke patients stop rehabilitation treatment after they leave the hospital in6-9months, but their physical flexibility takes years to recover. Therefore, effective and low-cost home remote rehabilitation becomes very important. In recent years, many remote rehabilitation systems are designed and applied to home-based rehabilitation training of stroke patients. Based on three defects, lacking of efficient interaction between doctors and patients, boring recovery training interrupting the process and unable to estimate the rehabilitation effect accurately, exist in these systems, the new home-based remote rehabilitation system is designed.Rehabilitation training data would be captured by using wearable acceleration acquisition device in this system, and be sent to computer by ZIGBEE module. This system provides a three-dimensional reconstruction module for upper limb rehabilitation motion, it can assist the doctors ignore the restriction of locations and time, and capture the rehabilitation process and motion accuracy of stroke patients. The system builds BP neural network based model for upper limb motion strength evaluation, it can evaluate current upper limb strength of stroke patients, and the evaluating result can evaluate the training process. In order to enhance the entertainment of the rehabilitation training, the system provides upper limb rehabilitation game module. The process will be more relaxing with this module.Web-based rehabilitation data management module can handle the data produced during the rehabilitation process efficiently. The module can provide theoretical basis for doctors to make the next rehabilitation plan.
