Since Carl Friedrich Benz made the world’s first car in1886,The automotiveindustry has been138years. As an important part of the car, the car dashboard hasdeveloped for almost100years. Today, the functions of the car dashboard is no longersimply display the speed, rpm, fuel and other basic information, which can expressgreat amounts of information. The more complex the system, the greater thepossibility of errors, and it’ll be more difficult to detect the errors. So it’s verynecessary to design a rational identification and detection system.Automated testing is a core development direction of modern testing technology.With the continuously improve of the Software technology, bus technology andInternet technology levels. Automated testing techniques have been widely used invarious fields. Previous tests on the car dashboard is dominated by human testing,there are many disadvantages. Such as low efficiency, slow speed. There may be afunction needs repeated tests, these processes are tedious, inefficient, error-prone. Noone likes to do repetitive, no creative works. Automated testing technologyfundamentally solved these problems. Effectively improve test efficiency, reducedevelopment costs and shorten the development cycle, improve the chances of findingBUG.By the help of the Intelligent Control and Embedded Systems Laboratory JilinUniversity, I made a complete set of automated test identification programs. Andaccording to the program, I finished the dashboard automated testing programs. Thisprogram is proved high efficiency, It’ll save great amount of development time andlabor costs.The first chapter outlines the background knowledge of the dashboard automatedtesting programs. Lists the importance of the dashboard automated testing programs,and described the current researches. And presents the problems found in thedevelopment of the dashboard automated testing programs. At last, this chaptersummarized the research.The second chapter describes the overall architecture and design of the recognition system. Including the image processing algorithms used, the design of theautomated testing programs and the camera mounted auxiliary programs design.The third chapter details the design and the specific identification method of thepointer identification module. First introduced the image pre-processing method, andthen described the speedometer and tachometer readings identification methods, andfinally described the fuel gauge and water temperature gauge reading identificationmethodsThe fourth chapter details the design and the specific identification method of theLed and TFT screen identification module. First introduced the schema of theidentification database, and then described the Led identification methods, and finallydescribed the TFT screen identification methods.The fifth chapter is the Summary and Outlook of the full text. Summarize theresearches and works of the dashboard automated testing programs. And outlook theSubsequent improvement and optimization of the dashboard automated testingprograms.
