The reconfigurable devices within cell and reconstruction of the layout of cell is the reconfigurable characteristics of reconfigurable robotic manufacturing cell, the reconfigurable of device is decided by the reconfigurability of manufacturing equipmet, but the layout of equipmet within cell is based on the product features, It still a long way before reconfigurable device to put into pratice. However, from equipmet layout point of view, it is an important way to achieve reconfigurable robotic manufacturing cell (RRMC) by equipment reconstruction.Firstly, this paper analyzes RRMC by it’s five core attributes and six functional properties, composition, design principle, key technology and so on.Secondly, focusing on equipment layout of RRMC, and cell configuration is divided into symmetrical and asymmetrical configuration, contrasting the performance and throughput probability distributions between reconfigurable cell configurations and array cell configurations, when the number of machine tool and steps is large, the reconfigurable cell configurations has a larger output.Thirdly, providing a feasible and effective method to design equipment layout of RRMC and giving two formula for calculating the number of reconfiguralbe cell configurations. since this formula accords with the Yang Hui delta distribution map, then an example of how to use the RRMC configuration of Yang Hui triangle distribution map is given, At the same time, building the early equipment layout of RRMC.Finally, since the early equipment layout of RRMC can not adapt to market demand changes, it needs to optimization the equipment layout of RRMC. Based on the early equipment layout of RRMC, This paper presents a prototype optimization equipment layout of RRMC, and the feasibility of RRMC reconstruction layout is proved by an example.
