Since twentieth Century, with the continuous development of human society, the importance of identification technology has become increasingly prominent, while the traditional identity recognition technologies because of technical limit to already cannot satisfy need, magnetic card, key, password can easily be stolen and copied, impostor once have someone else’s identity, could obtain with the same rights, therefore, emerge as the times require, various types of biological recognition technology, iris recognition for life identity is the most reliable, widely considered to be the most promising biometric recognition technology.According to the domestic and foreign research results, as well as compared with the traditional technology of biological recognition, Implementation of the simulation focuses on the iris recognition technology and practical application. Firstly, introduces the concept, the basic principle of iris recognition technology, the current common iris recognition system and recognition algorithm, secondly the simulation experiment using iris preprocessing, iris location, iris separation, obtain "iris code", denoise, feature extraction, feature matching links to in-depth study; finally, according to the above work carried out by the MATLAB many simulation experiments on the iris recognition algorithm, experimental results obtained. And the content of the research is applied to the identification of the prison door management, in order to the need of such high alert region.
