Internet with the digitization at its core is believed to be the new technology to promote the third industrial revolution; humanity has entered the information society since then. In recent years, the mobile Internet, wireless LAN and Internet of things that appear subsequently are completely changed people’s way of life. Today’s intelligent terminals especially intelligent mobile phone with Google’s Android operating system has become a necessity for people to enrich their lives. Because the free and open characteristics of Android platform, the application software based on Android has everything that one expects to find.This paper describes a bus real-time location information sharing platform which based on Android operating system. Use the sign mode, users publish the real-time information of the buses around their own for available to more users to query their needed buses information.This system uses C/S structure and consists of Android client, Tomcat server and MySQL background database. As users log on the system using the Android terminal, they can publish or query buses run-time information via a wireless network After the server receives those requests it will open the database to access the data. To simplify the user operation, all parameters of publish/query are encoded using two-dimensional code icons, users only need to take the appropriate icon can complete the publish/query process. Meanwhile, the system still provides interface input publish/query mode to offer the truly user experience of "anytime and anywhere".In the article, we first present the research background, related technologies, technology selection and function analysis to determine the feasibility of the scheme. Then we introduce the build process of client and server development environment, the software flow and database construction exhaustively. Finally, the software development processes of each module in the system are introduced in detail, including the client interface design, communication protocol, Servlet response and the database connection. Using the Android simulator has proved that this software can be very good to complete the expected demands, realized the bus real-time location information sharing function based on the check in service.
