Currently, the international advanced petroleum companies have basically achieved automatic production, including data acquisition and processing, the automatic warning of production and so on. This has become the trend of petroleum and petrochemical industries. Chinese leading companies in the oil and gas field have also conducted successful exploration, confirming the technical and economic viability of oil and gas production of internet of things. However, integrated oil and gas production system in China has not been established due to the complexity of their information systems and differences of implementation. What’s more, it is necessary to consider the integration of the existing systems and the changing needs while building a new information system. Under these circumstances, the structure called SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) has showed many advantages like flexibility, scalability, reusability and so on.Its application is very necessary.First, the author discusses and researches SOA ideology, standards, norms, and its related implementation techniques, and focuses on the core concepts of SOA lifecycle modeling.Then, the authoer carries out demand analysis, architectural design of the system according to the business requirements of the oil and gas production of internet of things to determine the general structure of technical route.Subsequently, the article applies the concept of SOA modeling to the demand analysis of management subsystem. At first, the paper studies the life cycle of SOA modeling of the system, deriving modeling steps of management subsystem. In line with the full life cycle modeling steps derived from the above analysis, the author selects several key steps including architecture design, service modeling, service development and service integration to carry out application analysis.Among these, the author focuses on the service modeling, first studying the modeling guidance in the field of SOA to establish the modeling method which applies to the business of the oil and gas production, then building a service model according to this method which obtains the basic services that cannot be discovered by the decomposition of business processes. And the identified basic services are combined or decomposed to get the operation of service which can meet more composite business needs. After the service modeling, we should start the service development and integration according to business needs to fullfil the key steps of the life cycle of the SOA modeling.Finally, the author establishes a system according to the SOA modeling and explains the key features thoroughly verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of SOA in the application of the oil and gas production.
