Space Research And Implementation Of The Operating System Based On AMD Graphics Driver

Currently, some device drivers have run normally on Space, but for the independent video card driver, only the NIVDIA graphics driver can install and run smoothly on Space system. But the amd graphics which is the other one of two graphics cards brand can’t be used by Space system. This causes the Space system cant’t make graphics useful when it play on the computer equipped with AMD graphics, and it’s desktop resolution is low and cannot open Space system’s3D and Visual effects.This paper mainly focuses on how to solve the problem of that AMD graphics card driver could not be installed in the Space system, and try to make the driver’s application process simple and practical. This paper includes the following contents:First, this paper studies character device driver for Linux, grasps the basic principle of graphics card driver through deeply studies the principle and related knowledge of character driver, and does a lot of experiments. Summarizes the problems occurred when install and debug the AMD graphics driver and put forward solutions according to these problems, by studying the application of AMD graphics driver on in two long-term support version of Ubuntu operating system. This paper verifies the feasibility of AMD graphics driver’s Linux version can run in Space system based on experiments about AMD graphics driver installation, commissioning and the system configuration experiment. And works out the method of successfully running AMD graphics driver on Space system.Second, this paper improves the Space operating system on the graphics device support, in the above on the basis of experimental study. By modifying Space system’s kernel, its software dependencies and system configuration, ultimately the AMD graphics driver can be used smoothly in Space operating system.In the end, in order to enhance and improve the application of Space system, this paper design a practical graphical interface as a guide for user to install the driver. And the driver is integrated into the Space system software installation disk, so this work can be helpful for Space system’s application and promotion.
