With the rapid development of electronic technology, embedded dataacquisition devices in our daily life and industrial automation field can be seeneverywhere. SD card by virtue of its many advantages, as the storage mediumhas been widely used in embedded data acquisition devices. Along with thedeepening of information technology, embedded data acquisition devicescurrently facing and dealing with more and more data, so how to manage largeamounts of data had become a hot technology. This paper is the SD card as thestorage medium for embedded data acquisition devices, designed a streamlined,efficient embedded file system.First of all,combining with the working conditions recorder we analyzedthe characteristics of embedded devices then according to these characteristics,we established the overall structure of embedded file system by hierarchical andmodular skills.Secondly we studied and designed the sub-systems detailedly.Mainly,we abstracted the standard driver interface, and written the driver in SDcard detailedly for an example; also analyzed the common strategies and skillsof building the file system kernel;then design a set of efficient, lightweightembedded file system kernel according to the characteristics of FAT format filesystem; at the same time optimized the whole system performances ofmangement the small file storage; and offered a series of flexible, practical,reliable API interface for the user.Finally, we tested the performance and functionality of the embedded filesystem Systematically, and analyzed the result. The embedded file system hasbeen tested successfully extended to the actual project.
