Recently, with the repaid development of network that brings convenienceto our daily life, which also takes threats in transmission and storage ofinformation, the safety of digital image that carries lots of information becomesone of the problems in information science field. Traditional encryption methodcan’t adapt to digital image which features large amount of data, highredundancy, and strong correlation between pixels and so on. Secret imagesharing can be divided into two categories: secret sharing based on sharingfunctions and visual secret image sharing. The first scheme can restore a moreprecise secret through Lagrange interpolation. Visual secret image sharingscheme can be achieved just by stacking shadows together, a poor quality ofsecret image can be recovered without any complex computation. This paperproposes two secret image sharing schemes based on sharing functions:This paper proposes a grouped-scalable secret image sharing scheme whichshares the secret image among several groups of participants with differentpriorities, resulting in a scheme of grouped-scalable secret image sharing. Thequality of stego images held by participants is high and can realize a bettercamouflage purpose. Scalable recovering of the secret image is achieved whendifferent groups offer their restored subimages according to their differentdemands. The lossless restoration of the secret image and cover images can beachieved when all of the subimages are available. Compared with other relatedschemes, the superiority of our scheme for grouped-scalable managementapplications of secret images and the extension of group number and participantnumber are obvious.This paper also proposes a robustness secret image sharing scheme basedon block-compressed sensing which is based on the scheme stated in first. Inpractical channels, the shadows are transmitted over the channel and influencedby noise, a robustness secret image sharing scheme based on block-compressedsensing is proposed to restore a better quality of secret image at a poor channel quality.
