As a new type multimedia data,3D model is sweeping across the world. However, the lack of effective impression of3D group models has hindered most technologies’further generalization, because this ability is widely desired by many applied fields such as medicine, architecture, games and teaching.The first part of this paper reviews the basic concepts of V system over the triangular domain and its construction method. Then, it introduces a generalized idea of its theory in consideration of the concepts of spherical trianglar domain. This part focus on the application algorithms in3D model retrieval, simplification and especially the spectrum analysis of the moving system with multi-objects. At last, it builds an integrate system for3D retrieval including single model and group model. Detailedly speaking, it concentrates on highlighting V system’s intrinsic priority, convenience and flexibility on processing the3D group model.The second and third part of this paper introduce another two obviously different works:"Shape Feature Description Based on Log-polar Coordinates and Symmetric Circulant Matrix (LPCM)", and "Mathematical Structure of Wavelet Functions of V Multiwavelet (V Multiwavelet)". LPCM proposes a new2D shape feature extraction method, which is TRS (Translation, Rotation, and Scale) invariant and simple to calculate. V Multiwavelet introduces a different way to construct the generators of U/V system of arbitrary degree, which deeperly reveals the mathematical structure of U/V system. The last two parts are independent to the application of V system, but they give a lot of inspiration to the expansion of V system’s theory and application.
