With the development of cloud computing technology, more and more applications and services deployed on cloud platforms, all sectors of society are eager to information technology. Resources of cloud computing platform show the features of diverse, dynamic and large scale, in order to keep the cloud computing platform work stable, real-time monitoring for the cloud computing platform is very important. Therefore, the monitoring platform is an important part of cloud computing platform, it plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of service of cloud computing platforms, so that researching cloud computing platform monitoring system has important significance.Currently, most monitoring software can only monitor separately from different applications and services which are on different systems or platforms, so they aren’t able to achieve effective monitoring for all the resources of the cloud platform. For adapting to the characteristics of the cloud platform resources, thus the cloud platform resources should be better monitored and management, the paper studies the virtualized cloud platform monitoring system in detail, this paper presents a scalable and integrated cloud monitoring mechanism, build and achieve a virtualized cloud platform monitoring system which enables the operation and maintenance person to integrate diversified monitoring software on demand. Through an integrated monitoring interface, the operation and maintenance person and end users can check the operating status of the cloud platform, so as to alleviate the operation and maintenance effort effectively, improve work efficiency, and ensure the stability and the quality of services of the cloud platform. The main works and contributions of this paper are as follows:1. The definition of virtualized cloud platform monitoring system framework.Combining with the features of virtualization cloud platform monitoring system, this paper proposes a framework to monitor the cloud platform, through the monitoring framework is divided into five parts, which are different resources and different monitoring software, monitoring services, business functions and users, through the monitoring model, data model and monitoring data persistence mode is defined to meet the needs of the cloud platform to monitor, and simplifying the design complexity of monitoring cloud computing platform.2. The definition of monitoring model of virtual cloud platform monitoring system Monitoring model of virtualized cloud platform monitoring system is based on the cloud platform monitoring resources and the abstract software, which can be said given a platform to monitor the characteristics of the cloud model. Monitoring model of virtual cloud platform monitoring system is based on the relationship between monitoring resources of cloud platform and monitoring software, abstraction, obtained by the abstract method we get cloud platform monitoring model. The model defines the monitoring objects, monitoring, and automatically generated by instantiating relationship mapping between monitoring and surveillance software between objects, which can dynamically integrate other types of monitoring software. Through this model can greatly reduce the workload of operation and maintenance personnel, but also to ensure the accuracy of the mapping.3. The method of data persisting in virtual cloud monitoring system.This paper presents a method of virtualization software integrated cloud platform monitoring system, the monitoring software can be joined the monitoring system through integration strategy and integration methods to meet the demand of monitoring different resources. While the integrity of monitoring data is defined in this paper to save the software’s monitoring data which is integrated into the monitoring system. The cloud monitoring system gathering data in two ways, through specific ports and dump data through a script, in order to keep the data integrity.Based on the definitions of monitoring model and monitoring data, as well as the method of data persisting of virtualized cloud platform monitoring system, this paper presents a scalable integrated cloud platform monitoring mechanism and build a virtualized cloud platform monitoring system, Achieving the monitoring and alarm of cloud platform which in view of resources, so as to ensure the stable operation of the cloud platform, and provide reliable service to users. The experiment results show that the system has scalability to meet the dynamic changes of cloud resource monitoring platform, which can effectively reduce the workload of operation and maintenance personnel, improve work efficiency, so that the system is an effective way to solve the problem of monitoring the cloud platform.
