With the development of semiconductor technology and the concept ofenvironmental protection and energy saving, white LED lighting will be the forthgeneration of solid state lighting after the incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp,energy-saving lamp. Compared with the traditional lighting, white LED lighting has someadvantages, such as energy-saving and environmental protection, fast speed response andhigh speed modulation. Visible light communication is one of the emerging technologiesthat lighting and communication are combined, which refers to the same signal can bemodulated to the beam to achieve the communication function at the same time of lighting.Visible light communication technology has been recognized as a promising emergingwireless optical communications technology, which has the broad market. Therefore,research universities and research institutions at home and abroad have given muchattention to it. But the technology to be practical has some difficulties. The main contentsare as follows:1) Based on the relevant literature collection, this article analyzes the current researchstatus and difficulties of visible light communication technology at home and abroad.2) A detailed introduction is related to theories of visible light communication system,and a thorough analysis is made on some physical characteristics of white LED light ascommunication source, such as: I-V, spectrum and modulation characteristics.3) This paper presents a new design of drive circuit, that is, modulated information isloaded into the white LED on the formation of modulated light, through the premise ofDD311chip providing a stable current by rationally designing the peripheral circuits.4) This paper presents a detailed analysis of noise sources under their environment ofvisible light communication system, and designs the preamplifier circuit with thenon-inverting input to suppress the common-mode noise to some extent and to reduce theimpact of external environment on system performance.5) Some design ideas are proposed in this paper, that is, the blue filter is presented forthe noise filter out in visible light communication system. And design methods andformulas of the blue filter are summed up.
