With the rapid development of cloud computing technology and mobile Internettechnology, the mobile cloud computing model formed by the combination of cloudand mobile terminals will profoundly change the life of human being. People alsohave more and more rich requirements for the types of communication services andincreasingly high quality requirements with the rapid development of the presentmobile network. They wish to easily and efficiently handle daily affairs, managementbusiness, and collaborative communications and so on, no matter where they are,which requires that the mobile communication can provide stable communicationenvironment in real time. However, since the processing capabilities of the mobileterminal, battery life and storage capacity are limited, and especially when mobiledevices access the Internet via a wireless network for a large amount of datatransmission, they will produce very large power consumption. Therefore, on thepremise of ensuring stability and timeliness of communication, it is an urgent need toimprove the energy efficiency of mobile communication devices in thecommunication process. This paper will combine the mature cloud computingtechnology and the current booming mobile Internet, study how to make full use oftheir advantages, and provide an efficient, convenient, stable communicationenvironment for mobile devices.In this paper, through studying the characteristics of cloud computing and mobiledevices connected to the cloud, we propose an optimized mobile instant messagingframework under cloud computing environment. Around the frame, we make a deepresearch on the format of data transmission optimization technology and how to usethe Markov model to improve network switching strategy. Firstly, we introduce thedesign framework of cloud and mobile client; the cloud is divided into a number oflevels, mainly including data caching layer, data storage layer and the predictionengine of network switching; mobile client according to the function is divided intomultiple modules, mainly including communication, data conversion, networkmanagement and UI interaction. Then, we give an introduction of the specific implementation details of hierarchies and modules; for data transformation, theexisting XML or JSON format is replaced by using an analytical faster and smallerdata volume of data formats Protobuf; for the implementation of the network switchprediction engine, a second-order Markov model is introduced to provide users withnetwork switching strategy, which let the users know where to use which network, soas to save power and flow. Finally, we provide energy consumption when using theframework of data transmission, and demonstrate the energy-saving advantages offramework through the application of the test cases on the prototype systemimplemented in the instant messaging framework under the environment of mobilecloud computing.
