With the advent of the mobile Internet era, mobile office software isshowing a booming trend. Good mobile office software should allow the userto use office software on mobile devices in their hands at any time, anyplace dealing with anything related to, as well as getting rid of thelimitations of time and place.Compared with traditional office software, mobile office software has toensure some basic quick response to user operations. The mobile officesoftware developers have to face the contradictions between a big amountof spatial data and a small storage space, and contradictions betweencomplex spatial retrieval needs and contradictions embedded computingspeed.To cope with these contradictions, we use the techniques and methods ofspatial index, through rational design of spatial index to achieve thespatial data quickly and efficiently query, retrieval and display, andto improve storage efficiency and performance of spatial data retrievalspace.In this paper, the existing R-tree spatial index series were discussedin detail.MR*-tree complements the spatial relationships of spatial datatypes, and existing R-tree spatial index series retrieval type andretrieval methods.Finally, with MR*-tree indexing mechanism to achieve the mobile officesoftware cursor positioning, cursor movement and text selection, andthrough unit testing, of MR*-tree spatial index performance improvedaccuracy were analyzed to verify the usefulness of MR*-tree in the mobileoffice software.
