Pressure-detecting is one important branch application of fiber sensing technology.Optical fiber grating sensors and optical fiber F-P sensors for detecting pressure are the twomost popular sensors. By optimizing the fiber structure, material and adopting a optimizeddetection mechanism etc, the optical sensing characteristics could be improved further. So, itis of important impact on meeting the boundless demand on simple structure and highsensitivity fiber grating sensors to research and explore the novelty of optical fiber and itsrelated key technologies.In this paper, three areas of work have been completed:(1) The principle of optical fibergrating and F-P interferometer is studied, sensing characteristic and mechanism of the opticalfiber grating pressure sensor and optical fiber F-P pressure sensors is analyzed;(2) Wepropose a microstructured optical fiber with a large hole. Then, we analysis the relationshipbetween fiber parameters and grating writing efficiency, the distribution characteristics of thisnovel written in the field;(3) We also research microcavities preparation method: expansionmethod. And we have a detailed analysis of the effect of this method, then pressure detectingexperiments have been done.Two conclusions could be obtained:(1) The fiber grating structure with a large holecould greatly improve the inscription efficiency and reduce the scattering loss. The fibergrating structure with symmetrical angle inscription method will contribute to improving theflatness of beam energy distribution and the corresponding birefringence in single angleinscription process. That is a novel method to improve fiber grating writing effectively;(2) Arange of different cavity length of the F-P cavity have been completed by expansion method.And we find these F-P cavities have good interference effect.The pressure sensitivity ofoptical fiber F-P sensors reach to6.0pm/. That provides a new thought to make a F-Pcavity though simple pretreatment using single-mode fiber.
