Since Napster appeared in1999, P2P technology has attracted a great deal of attentionby researchers quickly because of its strong support of network scalability. From2000,academics began to focus on P2P technology and studied it deeply. After2007, the mainissues and the core mechanisms were resolved. Researchers reached a consensus on P2Presearch that the focus should be shifted to how to use P2P technology to meet the needs ofdifferent applications so that we can make full use of the advantages of P2P technology.According to the related work and existing research methods, first a P2P networkmodel AS-Chord which supports fuzzy search is presented in this paper. AS-Chord dividesthe nodes into two different classes to make full use of the heterogeneity of nodes. With thehelp of Mobile Agents, every node with stronger ability stores a class of resource index inAS-Chord so that it can meet the basic need of fuzzy search. Besides, a method to computethe maximum streaming capacity based on PULL model is presented. It uses the averagebandwidth allocating algorithm and the random upload neighbors selecting algorithm. After model analysis, it computes how many upload neighbors every node selected at leastand asks service from them and then they get the maximum streaming capacity with highpossibility through MATLAB experiments. At last an improved algorithm which combinedwith Mobile Agents is presented after network simulation result analysis. It improves themaximum streaming capacity with keeping small number of upload neighbors.Simulation results show that with the combination of Mobile Agents and P2Ptechnology, resource can be effectively placed on the appropriate node with great ability inAS-Chord, the node with redundant upload bandwidth and the node lack of downloadbandwidth can be effectively connected in PULL model to get a higher maximumstreaming capacity. Thus, combing the advantages of Mobile Agents and P2P technologycan enhance the performance of distributed applications in some cases.
