As an important engineering component, the moving flexible body is widely used invarious fields of national economy. However, the transverse vibration produced in theprocess of movement could affect the overall performance of the system. The nonlineardynamic equation is established for the moving viscoelastic belt to consider itsparametric resonance and control.Firstly, the Kelvin model is used to describe the viscoelastic constitutive equation ofthe moving flexible belt. The Galerkin discrete method is used to get the nonlineardifferential equations of the moving viscoelastic belt. Its abundant nonlinearcharacteristics are revealled by the time responses and phase trajectories in different axialvelocity.Secondly, the theoretical analysis of sliding mode control, fuzzy control and fuzzysliding mode control are completed. The fuzzy sliding mode controller is designed tocontrol the transverse vibration of moving flexible belt. The simulation resultsdemonstrate the asymptotic stability of the system and the robustness of the controlalgorithm. As the main part of this paper, the experimental platform is established to analyzethe vibration and control of moving flexible belt. Stainless steel foil is chosen as materialof the moving belt. Vibration control system is designed to achieve fuzzy sliding modecontrol based on TMS320F28335as the core of digital signal processing circuit. Thetransverse vibration of the belt is restrained by electromagnetic actuator. LabVIEWplatform is used to analyze vibration signal. Finally, experiments are conducted to research the parametric excitation when thesystem natural frequencys are1Hz and2Hz. The experiment results show the impact ofthe parametric excitation to transverse vibration and prove the effectiveness of proposedcontrol scheme.
